Brittney Underwood

I’m a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist and one of the owners here at Ascend Wellness. I’ve practiced anesthesia since 2016, after beginning my nursing career in the Emergency Department and Cardiac ICU. I earned my nursing degree from Southwest Baptist University and my Master of Nurse Anesthesia from Missouri State University.

What I love most about this work is watching people change throughout their treatment—becoming more functional, feeling happier, or finally finding relief after years of trying medications and therapies that didn’t work for them. Those changes don’t always have to be big to matter.

That’s what I want for every person who walks through our doors: to leave feeling better than when they came in, even if it’s in the smallest of ways.
